We invite you to the opening of the exhibition

The World of Fantasy, Sadness, and Joy of Vlasta Baránková

on October 10, 2024, at 5 PM. The opening will feature DUO MELOS and students from the music departments of ZUŠ F. L. Gassmanna Most.

The exhibition showcases illustrative work for children from the perspective of its broader artistic scope, including examples of her graphic and free painting work.

Vlasta Baránková has presented her book creations at dozens of exhibitions in the Czech Republic and abroad (France, Japan, Italy, Germany, Poland, Belgium, South Korea, Austria, and Yugoslavia). She has received numerous domestic and international awards, and her works are represented in many Czech galleries and private collections. She has also applied her talent in television production. Among other projects, she contributed to the animated series for children about Lískulka for Czech Television and collaborated on the series by Markéta Zinnerová titled Four Ears on the Meadow. Her illustrations accompany, for example, children's books by Zdeněk Svěrák and Jaroslav Uhlíř.

The exhibition will last until February 2, 2025
