Art of the Late Middle Ages in the Mining Area of the Ore Mountains

This lecture by art historian Jitka Šrejberová will present the stories of five restored works from the collections of the Ústí Region, based on the results of the Czech-German cross-border project focused on the protection and research of cultural heritage from the late Middle Ages in the Ore Mountains mining area. These works are also featured in the panel exhibition "Krušnohoří / Erzgebirge – Art of the Late Middle Ages," currently installed at the Regional Museum and Gallery in Most. The lecture is intended for all those interested in art on the Czech-Saxon border during the peak of Ore Mountain mining and will not overlook the town of Most, which played a significant role here.

The lecture will take place on Thursday, February 1, 2024, at 5 PM. Its maximum length will be 90 minutes, including questions.
