Current Czech Mosaic - Workshop

We cordially invite you to the artistic workshop of MOSAICS led by academic sculptor Magdalena Kracík Štorkánová. We offer a unique opportunity to try various mosaic techniques. The meeting is designed to provide a comprehensive view of the technique and materials in mosaics – stone (pebbles, semi-precious stones, tesserae - processed, split, colored marbles), ceramics, glass, and glass mosaic (piastrine, sabbiati, millefiori, smalti filati, gold tesserae, prefabricated stones, components, etc.).

Each participant will take home their own mosaic. Materials and all tools are available, but if you have suitable components at home related to the theme, you can incorporate them into the mosaic.

Where: Regional Museum and Gallery in Most, p. o., Čsl. armády 1360

When: Saturday, February 16, 2018, from 10 AM to 2 PM

Price: 600 CZK per person

The price includes all tools and materials.

Reservation of places and payment in advance is necessary.

The minimum number of participants is 10, maximum 12. In case of insufficient enrollment, the workshop will be canceled.

The artistic workshop is led by sculptor Magdalena Kracík Štorkánová, a graduate of the Prague AVU, who studied mosaics in Italy at the Academy in Carrara and at the mosaic school in Spilimbergo. She exhibits her mosaics in the Czech Republic and abroad. She publishes in professional journals and lectures at international conferences, organizes exchange residencies and symposia.
