CODEX GIGAS – September 19 - October 31, 2017

The exhibition presents a copy of the largest manuscript book in the world, also known as the Devil's Bible due to its exceptional depiction of the devil. The original book weighs 75 kg, contains 624 pages with colorful illuminations, and was likely written in the early 13th century at the monastery in Podlažice near Chrudim. Accompanied by a documentary film about the creation of the book's copy.

Alongside the nationwide event Library Week CR 2017, a themed lecture will take place on October 10, 2017.

The exhibition will be accessible from September 19, 2017
